1877 Gold Sovereign Victoria Young Head Shield - Sydney Mint
The only mint which issued shield sovereigns in 1877 was Sydney.
Shields were also the only type of sovereign the Sydney Mint issued that year, it did not issue any with the St. George & dragon reverse.
The London Mint issued no sovereigns of any type dated 1877. The Melbourne Mint only produced the St. George and dragon type in 1877, and no shields.
